
Prenatal Yoga

SvaroopaŽ yoga is especially beneficial for pregnant women because it focuses on the release of the muscles in the core of the body around the spine and base of the pelvis. This release will provide a more comfortable pregnancy, creating more space for the baby to sit into the mother's pelvis which prevents sway back and lessens back pain in the later months. By releasing the same muscles that need to open during childbirth, the labor can be much quicker and easier and recovery faster. Guided awareness and a breathing practice are part of every class, creating an awareness and connection with your body and your baby. Yoga is a wonderful way to learn to quiet your mind and make you more comfortable during your pregnancy and beyond! Plus you get to meet and share with other new moms too! Women must be at least 12 weeks pregnant to begin prenatal yoga classes.

2010 Sessions and Pricing
Tuesdays 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. (Rehoboth)
Thursdays 4 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Milton)
Spring Session week of April 5th – week of June 28th
Fall Session week of Sept. 6th – week of Nov. 29th
12 classes each session
*No classes April 20th, May 4th & 7th, Nov. 9th & 11th
$200 prepaid per 12 class session
The session may be paid in 2 installments, the second half due 1 month after the start of the session. Classes can be prorated to accommodate due dates and late comers. Women, who are interested in prenatal yoga between sessions, may join the regularly scheduled classes at Rehoboth Beach Yoga or begin private sessions.
